I am setting up an Issue Tag# system for my School. When they need Technical Issues solved they have to send me and e-mail with his form filled out explaining the issue.
So my question is …When I receive an e-mail and I read it, it sends me an automatic response to the teachers saying when the issue will be resolved....how can I go about doing this? Is this even possible and if it is can you guide to the right direction.

Thank You
Iris

What is your server OS?
What is your mail system?
What are you clients OS?
What are your clients mail interface?

If using OL: you can use the 'out of office' rules as a start and customize to your requirements

Your best bet is custom forms in a Public Folder. You're going to need to start programming to do it.

OOF won't work. It's off by default and will only respond ONCE to a user.

ihilton,
If all you seek is that an email be auto sent when a request is made, you can use the OOF, snap in and change the message.

If you desire more than an auto confirmation email, then you will have to use forms and probably a bit of visual basic programming as posted by 58sniper.

I read that you wanted a confirmation only.

Hope this helps
