Need help; where in Windows ME or Win2K or any other windows version does the date (sent, received, folder settings, etc.)resides in? Im getting ready to format my HD to install new OS but dont want to lose data.
 
I presume you mean "data" rather than "date".
Open OE, go to tools -> options -> maintenance tab and click the "Store Folder" button.
This folder holds your emails, folders etc.

My preference however would be to use File -> Export -> Messages and Address book to a file that you could copy off the PC and then reimport after you have reinstalled.
