Outlook Express 1

On a french version of Outlook Express, whenever the machine is shut down the pop3 account for incoming messages changes to 127.0.0.1.

I have checked the registry to see if there is a setting there that can be changed. Does anyone have any idea how to progress?

We are using McAfee, which was supplied free with the (Dell) laptop
