Outlook Express Error Message

After opening OE I get an error message "MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in Module DIRECTDB.DLL". I'm trying to fix it using MS Knowledge base article 225867. I cannot find the file messages.ods which the arcticle wants me to manipulate. I'd like to keep my messages if possible.
