Hi

I run a web site and send out a monthly mail shot to everyone who signs up for it, however we now have about 700 people on our mailing list and Outlook express keeps stopping everytime it tries to send an email to a duff address. I then have to open the mailshot, delete the address and resend again. As you can imagine when I get 30+ duff addresses every time this gets quiet annoying (and time consuming).

Is there some way of turning off this check within OE?

thanks

Neil

How about using a tool that handles list mails, not for spam, only about 50 a second?

any suggestions on what tool to go for? OE isnt good for this

Thanks

Neil

I found this,

and then there's mine.

I have a few variants, the simplest just takes a list of Email addresses and pumps mails into OE using a standard message file for all.

That does not directly address badly formatted Email addresses which seems to be the thing that is making misery for you, but just two hours ago I was wondering about filters.

So if Davide's OpenXMail is not your style, I think we could work on it and filter out the 'duff' addresses into a log, before it hits OE.

Lemme know, jnicks@roninsg.com

Any chance you can make a dummy list with some duffs [sic] in it, like maybe take the 700 and apply some global search/changes and let me have some test data.

Free copy! But I expect to put it out at $15 , 10 Euros. ROTFL at myself.

Tx Peter,

I'm making a little list for future questions.

thanks folk.

Ive found "mailbomber" on shareware.com seems like it might do the trick (??) its designed for sending out newsletters / mailshots etc.

This isnt spam mail. All of the people on my list have signed up for latest product offers etc.

Anyone used mailbomber?
