Scenario: Setting up a new computer with OS- WindowsXP Pro. Will have a removable drive caddy for the system (C:) drive.
I will have 2 possible boot discs. 1) Japanese Windows XP pro, and 2)English Windows XP pro.
Another HD will always be present on the system. This HD will be available to the Japanese or the English C. drive, so they can access the data there.
Whether I boot in Japanese or English I will be using the same email address.
Incoming mail will end up on the usual path in the C./Documents & Settings/etc.etc. folder.
So some of my incoming mail will end up on the Japanese disk, some on the English disc...... A very confusing situation!!!!

Is it possible to get Outlook Express to use the shared disk to save all the mails, adressbook etc?
E.g. set-up a Documents and settings file on the shared drive and save all email exchanged there?

Why don't you just "upgrade" to Outlook and then you can configure all of this accordingly in there? On my home PC for example, I have Outlook configured to store everything in My Documents (which is on my D:) so it is easier for me to back it all up.

Go into outlook express on both installations, then into Options, then click on the Maintenance Tab, and click on Store Folder. Click on Change and select the location for the files. Select the same location on both installations and you should be set.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Thanks everyone for your reponses.
I will be setting up the new computer in the middle of next week.
