We've got a Groupwise 5.5 svr and some of our users use Outlook express using a POP3 connection to get mail. But strangely, when you enable profiles in win9X or use NTWorkstation Outlook Express doesn't get authenticated by the mail server, it keeps prompting for password and username even though the password 100% correct. In Win9X if you disable profiles ( control/password/allow users to customise.....) after the reboot outlook express gets authenticated first time.

What is frustrating is that it doesn't happen with every PC with profiles enabled. It is definately not a POP LOCK.

Any Suggestions?

You may wish to look at the Microsoft Knowledge base artical Q290684. This talks about the password not being saved in NT and 2000 workstations. This may resolve the issues on those machines. Chuck
