Outlook Express and XP

I have a network running W2K server with 2 W2K prof and 2 XP home clients. All updates installed. ISP email and all clients use outlook express. 1 of the xp clients does not see the ISP email server. I have checked everything and it will not receive email on any working account that I try in it. Does anyone know of issues with xp and outlook express? Error indicates that it can't reach email server.

I just checked and the one that doesn't work is actually running XP home edition. Is there some reason this version will not work for email on a workgroup setup? This is baffling me. I work on all kinds of network arrangements and this ones got me.

XP Home does not play nice with networks.

XP Home will work fine in a workgroup setting. What is the actual error from OE? What antivirus & firewall are running on the problem machine? And lastly, is that the only problem with machine - internet surfing works fine, etc.?

I got it going. All other items such as internet worked fine. For some reason the email scanner of AVG antuvirus was causing it. I hadn't loaded the new server edition at that time. Now I have the licensed client install done and it works fine. thanks everyone.

havig problems opening attachments over 1meg. can any one help this rookie. i'm using outlook express.
