Outlook Express 6 - attachments blocked 3

Fully updated Outlook Express 6 seems to prevent access to almost all attachments (grrrr!!!). Is Microsoft protecting me or Microsoft? Can I stop OE from blocking attachments?

I have gone back to Outlook 98. With emails being scanned by AVG and using my personal firewall to block HTTP requests by Outlook 98, together with PopFile quarantining spam, I am fairly happy with the situation. Isn't there something that I should be uneasy about?

Uncheck the OE option "Do not allow attachments ...."
