Outlook Error when opening attached file

when trying to open an attached excel file i get an error "ERROR OPENING FILE" the user can open word attaced files just fine only gets the error when opening excel.
but if the file is saved to the desktop the user can open it just fine

any ideas???

Does this file contain MACROS, if so the security options in Outlook are the cause for this issue. You can correct this by adjusting your macro security settings, by going to: Tools -> Macro -> Security and setting them to your desired setting.

Remember that this could open up your email client's vulnurablity for viruses and other macro-based threats.
