Outlook Distribution Group

I have a PC with Outlook 2002. I have several distribution groups setup under Contacts. My problem is one of the groups displays the following message when I try to open it : "cant open this item. Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again. Other list open fine but not this one. Any thoughts ?

It must be corrupt. Delete it and recreate it from scratch.

I have a user experiencing this as well. The list has been deleted and recreated, but it still happens. is there a limit to the number of recipients that you can have in a list?
