I have this strange problem with Outlook 2007. Outlook 2007 will suddenly close down without any warning and close down any open emails I have as well. I did have about 30-40 emails open at that time. Could this be causing Outlook to shutdown.

30-40 e-mails open at one time? Wow!

With that many e-mails open at one time you could be running low on memory which could cause Outlook to shutdown.

How much memory do you have, and how much is Outlook consuming? You can use task manager to monitor how much memory Outlook on its own is eating up and how much each new open e-mail adds to that.

Hope this helps.

The laptop has 2GB of memory and outlook does not appear to be using more than 100mb of memory according to the task manager. Also does anyone know of a way to restore open email sessions when you bring outlook backup.
