Hello

I have Outlook and Excel 2007 and both have started to close/crash without warning. In most cases it is while the open documents dialog box is open and I'm searching through the folders and subfolders to find the file I wish to open (or in the case of Outlook, the document I wish to attach to my e-mail).

For Outlook I read somewhere that it may be caused by Add Ins but I've deactivated those and the problem continues.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix for it? Thanks.

A good place to start would be to run the Office Diagnostics.

From Outlook: Help ->Office Diagnostics...

OR

From Excel: Office button, select Resources, click "Diagnose" next to "run Microsoft Office Diagnostics"

Hope this helps.

Hi

Thank you so much for this suggestion! I ran it for Outlook and it indicated there were issues with "set up" diagnostic and all known errors were fixed. So hopefully that is the end of my pain on that front! I'll do the same for Excel.

Thanks again, much appreciated!

HI

I spoke too soon...Outlook crashed again when trying to send an e-mail with attachments.

If anyone can think of any other things for me to try I'd appreciate it - thanks.
