In outlook when I goto my address book I have Fax Numbers and email addresses set up in there.. But when I got create a new mail message and I click on my address book it brings up my list but it puts both fax and email addresses in the box.. anyway to just view the email address when I'm emailing people..

thanks

Your Subject line mentions Outlook Express but the body of your post says Outlook. They are different programs, Outlook Express comes with Internet Explorer and Outlook is part of Office. Outlook Express and Works use the Windows Address Book in Start, Programs, Accessories.

These should get you started:

The Outlook Address Book shows both the email and fax numbers as outlook (with the appropriate components installed) can send faxes and therefore, the fax numbers will need to pop up.

The only workaround is to put something like the letter "F" in the outlook field of fax numbers to stop outlook from showing them. There is at least one third party application that can do this for you if you have a lot of numbers.

Bottom line: its by design.

Hey Blujacket maybe you need to go back and read.. my subject line mentions nothing of Outlook EXPRESS...

Oops, I saw Address as Express, guess I need new glasses.
As Carmilla says, it's designed that way. Was at a Microsoft seminar last week where the question came up and same answer.

heh... np.... thanks for all your input!!!
