One pc on our network will not shutdown Windows 95 unless Outlook 97 is exited first, all others work okay.
The MS website mentions this, in respect to loggin on as a different user but not shutting down...

Any ideas?

Is there any particular reason as to why you need to have Outlook 97 open, when you shut down the machine?

All our users have Outlook running all the time, the majority can just shutdown without closing applications.
This one user cannot, hence my question, he requires a solution other than exiting from Outlook.

That could be a whole lot of different things: The version of Win95, the other software running on the machine. The SP of Office, the order the software was installed.. the hardware. Heck, I have seen this problem and have had to turn around and completely reinstall the entire office suite, not just OL97
