Outlook 2K - Calendar hangs !!

Hey all...
I am desperately in need of help. I use Outlook for everything except cooking !! Everything is working (tasks, mail, contacts) except the CALENDER. When I click on the calendar everything hangs. I cannot even open, click or do ANYTHING. The calendar opens and Outlook hangs. I tried the "Detect and Repair" - didnt work - so I backed up all my PST and removed and reinstalled Office - didnt work. So I was going to backup the calendar and then manually add it - thought it might be an error in the Calendar. But it wont even let me do that. After I click on Calendar, I cannot even click a menu or right click or do anything.

Whats going on ? Help me !! I cannot use my second brain (my pocket PC) since it wont sync with Outlook.

I use Outlook 2K on windows 98.

Have you tried running the inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe) on your PST file to see if there are errors it can correct?

And just to be sure it does not sound like you are using an Exchange server but if you are please advise as there are additonal steps I can recommend. joegz

You are correct - I am not using Exchange server.

As you have suggested, this will scan the PST file. But I am not having issues with the Mail Inbox. My mail works just fine. I have even use tasks, notes - just not the calendar. Touch the calendar and it hangs. Will this scan on the PST file fix issues with the calendar as well ?
