Recently installed Office 2007. Windows Vista, have completed all updates.

I have several email accounts that are checked but 1 account gives me issues. I will receive emails from that account, read, delete, etc. Check the mail again nothing there. Then maybe 2 hours later, sometimes 2 days later no rhyme or reason to it will download the same emails again.
I do have it set up to leave a copy on the server and delete after X days. thought maybe that was causing the issue but no change. The other email accounts I have do not do this. They are on different servers however. all are POP accounts.

Hmm, sounds like there is something amiss with the POP settings on the server perhaps... and maybe some sort of import history file in Outlook is getting messed up/deleted?

[ol][li]If its a Gmail account, you have to make sure you aren't enabling/disabling POP access via the web login at multiple times. I've done this before, and ended up duplicating email messages in Outlook just like what you're talking about.[/li]
[li]Are you possibly using some sort of file/history cleaner app on your local pc that is somehow clearing out even your POP download history? Actually, I'm not 100% sure that's how it works, but I would imagine there is some sort of historical file or field somewhere storing what has been downloaded from each email server.[/LI][/OL]

Prior to installing Outlook, I was using windows mail never had this problem. I would think if there was something deleting files it would cause all my email accounts to download the emails again. Its only 1 account that is doing it. I have double checked all the settings on my end, all of them are the same, however only the one keeps bringing back old emails. It will even bring back emails that I have deleted, and in my settings when deleted remove from server. Then out of no where they pop up again. And it does not happen all the time, sometimes I will go a few days with no problems.
If this was a phone system I could fix it! Damn puters have a mind of their own.
