When sending/receiving, the Outlook icon in the lower right corner has a timer icon displayed, the Send/receive dialogue box appears (set to detail view), it gets to 97% and just stays like that, email is sent instantly as I can see it in OWA. It say it is trying to get data from the server, however, if I send an email from an my Hotmail/Yahoo account the email appears instantly, so from that point of the email system is working fine, it appears as if the Send/receive/progress/network dialogue has screwed up - has anybody else see this?

Do you have a large offline address book? You could try going into the send and receive settings for the account and untick the option to download the OAB as this is what I have seen hang send and receive at 97% (but we are talking about huge multi-nationals with tens of thousands of employees)

(very useful, honest!)

I'll give it a try, the OAB has around 40 entries

Nope, didn't make any difference - it is really odd, but I state again, email is working fine, it's set to check every 5 mins, so even though the Send/receive dialogue is stuck email still comes and goes very 5 mins, just as you'd expect.

I've run the Office Diagnostics and every checks out as Ok, I have 4 other users with the same issue, the other 15 or so users are fine, we all use the same provider, same OS, same hardware.
