Outlook 2003 - retrieves email and then goes to offline

Hello,

We have exchange 2003 on our server with clients running Outlook 2003 in cached exchange mode. When some clients open outlook for the first time in the morning it connects to exchange, downloads new emails/sends any pending email and then goes to working offline. If you tell it to connect then it does without problem but then goes to offline. I've recreated the profile and this fixes it for a few weeks but then it goes back to working offline. It happens to a few people and the only thing in common is their mailbox's are nearly 200mb in size. has anyone else had this problem?

In the TOOLS-OPTIONS-MAIL FORMAT-SEND/RECEIVE area of Outlook, is "hang up when finished" checked at the bottom of the box? My company's machines (even on a T1) have experienced this issue.
