Outlook 2003 Mail Icon Not displaying when email arrives...

Hi all,

When a email is received and comes into the inbox Outlook nicely displays a message in the bottom right hand corner, and an icon in the system tray.

But why doesn't it do the same if you have an rules and alert set up for an email address to be sent to a particular folder within the inbox.

This worked in other versions of Outlook, and why not 2003, or am i doing something wrong, if so could someone direct me to the options..

This is 'by design' or 'by bug' (we asked Microsoft). Only notification when using rules is to enable an alert when a mail arrives in every rule.
