Outlook 2003 email goes to draft folder and not outbox

We have a user with a Windows XP machine with outlook 2003. It connects to our Exchange 2000 server.
Today, any email she tries to send just stays on her screen. When we manage to get it closed the email appears in her draft folder and does not go to the outbox folder.

I had this happen before but cannot remember the solution.

Can you ping the server from her machine ?

Here's what we found out.

We ran a repair on Outlook and it worked.
The person can now send email.

This is the first pc that this has happened to in our workplace.
