Outlook 2003 Email Flag Follow Up Reminder Not working

Hi. When I flag an email in my inbox for a follow up reminder, Outlook will bring the reminder up at the appropriate time.

If I flag an email either while typing it OR flagging directly from my 'sent' box, Outlook will NOT give me a reminder about the flag.

Any way to get the reminder to work on emails flagged from the sent box?

I am having a similar problem. This is what I came across in another forum:
"Until Outlook 2007 you will only get reminders popping up from Inbox,
Calendar, Contacts and Tasks (the default folders) unless you use a 3rd
party addin. In all other folders reminders that are due only turn the item
red."
