Hello

I hope someone can help.
When I click on e-mail centre and the outlook icon in the folder tree goldmine freezes and then crashes out.
Anyone have any ideas

disable the 'Script Blocking' feature of Norton Anti-virus (if you use it).

If not, what antivirus do you use?

Actually, we called support and Goldmine and Heat both have integration problems with Office/Outlook 2003. We are still awaiting patch notification from Frontrange. Until that point we are actually the only group in the company being held at Outlook 2000.

Frontranges response was classic "that's not supported". Its only been out for 2 years, why would it be.

That's very interesting we are a GoldMine and HEAT partner and we use both Outlook and Office 2003 each and everyday with GoldMine and HEAT and do not have an issue. Furthermore many of our customers are the same. I don't l know what your issue is you don't describe it.

I just added the outlook folder back into GoldMine and tried it on Outlook 2003 without an issue.

Back to Pedr, what are you trying to use this feature for? Do you have GoldMine or Goldmine Coporate Edition?

We are using 7.0. The problem comes into play with things such as scripted auto-tasks that send email. Heat will just crash at random times. It is generally only with email autotasks.

FrontRange just told us that it is a known issue and they don't support the use of Outlook 2003

regardless of all that, if you disable the script blocking feature in norton, you will be able to solve the problem you initially posted about which is the freezing of GoldMine upon clicking the Outlook folder in the e-Mail center...
