I have recently installed Office xp, imported my pst and everything appeared fine. Extraced the calendar from this to install on another machine, made some changes and tried to import calendar back into the XP machine. Got 2 sets of personal folders. My mistake, I did not select to not imnport dup's. Tried to clean this mistake, long story short, Outlook today now reads from archve folders and I have SEVERAL personal folders. While original file was 3.4 Megs, is not over 7!

My question is how can I repair Outlook to read from the original file? I have deinstalled outlook, deinstalled Office, reinstalled, repaired, but I think this all resides in registry somewhere as it picks up personal settings and folders everytime, which is one reason I now have so any personal folders. I can not get rid of them, even dragging and dropping, OUtlook today still reads -Archived folders, and the file still remains large.

If I can not fix I am about to trash my system and start over again......

Thanks,

Did you try to re-name the pst file? If not, then try doing that, this may enable you to then re-import the good ones.

Then you should be able to delete the bad ones.

I hope this helps.
