Hi,

I am struggling to find a way to remove old user names from the File>Open>Other Users Folders list once the permissions have been taken away.
Even if the permissions are removed, the name seems to remain on the recently accessed list.

Any ideas how this can be refreshed so that only the names that you still have permission to remain.

Thanks,
Dan

I'm not sure that's what I am referring to as all users would see the same thing where I am talking about, there would be no user files.

The section I mean is when you use the pull down menu in the open files window.

You see the following:
Desktop
- Computer Name
- Floppy (A:)
- Drive C:
- My Network Places

etc...

Same as when you use this in windows explorer.
But there is a time delay of 30 seconds when Excel or Word is locked which doesn't exist in other apps or windows.

TIA

Cheers Joe,

Yeah I found this too. It appears to be the only way to remove them.
It's a shame there is no client method.

Thanks again.
