Hi,

I am having problems with the folder list in Outlook 2002. For some reason, the folders in the list are no longer in alphabetical order. This was never a problem before. I have tried deleting the Exchange profile and that fixes the problem at first. Once I close Outlook and reopen it again, the list is not sorted in alphabetical order. Anyone have any ideas?

heres my reply to a similar post in the past.
Run into this many times. Folder list gets all jacked up. Ive found that by hitting registry you can get them resorted in alphabetic order, so personal folders displays at bottom. While logged in as user w issue, Regedit>HKEY CURRENT USER>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT>WINDOWS NT>CURRENT VERSION>WINDOWS MESSAGING SUBSYSTEM>Profiles. Then in user profile section of registry look for key 001e3001. This no longer has mailbox - listed before the email address name. In mine address is stephen.d.wilson, so I found key w Wilson, Stephen D. Then I opened the edit string option and input "mailbox - " in front of my name. I had to edit 2 keys labelled 001e3001, all places where the reference to "mailbox - " is missing. Then close registry and hit Outlook again. Ill check back tomorrow and can provide more detailed info if necessary
