Outlook 2000 will not close

Good day!

My company is still on Office 2000 SP3. We have a few users who are complaining that Outlook 2000 will not close out completely. I believe that they are just hitting the 'X' to shut it down but it hangs at the little windows that reads "Please wait while Microsoft Outlook exits".

I was told that there was a patch from Microsoft for this but I cannot find it anywhere. I am trying an experiment to see if Outlook will close normally if the user clicks on File... Exit and Log Off.

Any ideas out there? Thanks!
