I recently applied the Office 2000 service pack to a pc which runs an application that sends mail to the applications users. Now every time the program attempts to send mail, Outlook opens a dialog box which reads "A program is attempting to send mail on your behalf. Do you wish to allow this? Yes or No". How can I disable this?

This may help

You need to make an outlook security template and edit the registry of the users workstations for this to work. This article will explain everything. I have it working for my users who send out monthly reports to multiple outside clients.

I have the same issues. According to Microsoft, the security can only be overwritten when you have Exchange Server. Is there a solution for non-Exchange Outlook users?

I don't know of a solution, but I know of a workaround. A little utility apropriately named Push the Freakin Button. PTFB will click the 'do you want to allow this' dialog for you automatically. Keep your virus scanner up to date, because virii are the reason that MS implemented this security feature. So if you and you get infected with a virus that sends out mail, and have PTFB set to click 'yes' then you will be guilty of messing up something MS did right.

HEY,

i think i am one , i have an issue like if i send email outlook express opens but we are using lotes notes is there any way to open that.

tecassitant, look in Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Programs. See if you can set your e-mail client to lotus notes there. If not, you should create a new thread because your question is unrelated to this discussion.
