Outlook 2000 Public folder view settings

We have a staff phone list setup as a public folder. In outlook we would like to be able set the view for all the users to view the staff phone list with the same settings. I thought if I set the automatically generate microsoft exchange views setting that this would allow this to happen. It didn't. Has anyone ever set up a public folder so everyone gets the same view?

I will respond to my own post with the answer. I followed KB article 202186 Creating and selecting a custom view for public folder. I followed this to a T. I hope this helps anyone else that runs into this problem.
