My .PST file has become very large. I archived 400mb of almost 3000 emails, but the .pst file was only reduced by 3mb. The 3000 emails are no longer available in Outlook. Why didn't the .pst file size get reduced by 400mb? How do I reduce the .pst file size?

Thanks for any help.

Right Click on the folder in the folder list. Select properties, click "Advanced" and Click "Compact Now"

Thank you very very very much. It seems like such a little thing, but I just couldn't find the answer in the help and Outlook was beginning to bog down with such a large pst file size. I have heard that the pst file may become unstable over 1gb. Since I was close to approaching 1gb, I am glad to be able to reduce the size.

Thanks again.
