This might be a tricky one but I'm hoping someone else has had the same problem and found a fix.
A Laptop on a docking station running Windows 98SE has a problem printing emails from Outlook 2000. It doesnt seem to matter what the email is. The email editor is Outlook and not Word. All emails are displayed and sent as plain text only and not HTML or Rich text.
When you try to print to a networked HP 4050 Laserjet it will sometimes spool indefinitely and lockup Outlook causing you to reboot. Once rebooted you can print the email with no problems.
I have reloaded Win98 and Office and the problem disappeared for a while then returned. I have swapped the NIC card and changed cables but there is no problem with the network connection and I cant see that its a hardware error. We did provide another laser printer and connected it localy to the PC and there were no problems.
It only happens when printing over the network and it only happens intermittently. I have tried disabling antivirus and using Word as the email editor and it makes no difference.
It only happens with emails.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
