Outlook 2000 Preview Pane 1

I have a user that can't turn on the preview pane in outlook 2000. She clicks View, and Preview Pane appears, but it is grayed out.

Has anyone seen this?

Sounds like someone did a start-run and typed:

outlook.exe /nopreview

meaning they did not WANT them to be able to have the preview option...

The only thing I can think to try is Start--Run:

outlook.exe /regserver

Which will reset Outlook to default settings.
I don't think there's one to *undo* the nopreview command line switch, but you can search technet for "command line switches" in Outlook...

Hm. Cleanviews might do it.

I know its been months since anyone wrote anything on this, but I was so ticked off that I didn't have the ability to turn off the preview pane (which i consider a virus dream) in Office XP without turning it off in each individual folder which I have about 30 of them that Dreamboats outlook.exe /nopreview was the coolest thing since sliced bread!
