I have a Users(sales person)who claims that at his last company that he was able to keep all his emails and he had way more emails then he has here. His OST file has reached the limit and he he is forced to archive he dosent like it, I don't know of any way to resolve this other then compacting or archiving.

I f he/she has that many mails, you better make it very clear that this is a bad practice. Cleaning is in order, keeping thousands of e-mails is not workable.
