I recently loaded a new machince with Outlook 2000 and got it working fine. The user opened up Outlook Express instead of Outlook and now everything is messed up. She cannot send internet email from Outlook, but she can in OE.
She receives fine in Outlook and the internal mail is working fine with Outlook. Can anybody point me in the right direction to solve this? Thanks in advance.

Start with Internet Explorer - Tools, Internet Options, Programs tab, E-mail.

One further step to be performed at the users workstation..

Drop to a command prompt and typing the following;

"c:\program files\microsoft office\office\outlook.exe" /checkclient

This will ensure that Outlook is registered as the default email client for all applications.

Thanks for the help. I had to reload the office suite and that cured the problem.
