There is an Outlook dialouge box that if checked should disconnect from the internet when the program has completed the task(s). I have the box checked and it NEVER disconnects under any circumstances. Can anyone help me figure out why. Many articles written on HOW to CONNECT, but cannot find any on HOW to DISCONNECT automatically.

I have posted this message before with no results, I am hoping that the right person reads this post.

One other thing... there is an option that allows you to disconnect after x amount of idle minutes and it is disabled on my machine. Does anyone know how to enable it? That may be all I need :)
Thanks in advance for your help JerseyBoy

I don't know if this will help you, but in tools/options there should be a section that should send/receiving messages. Try unchecking the box and closing out of outlook completely and then reopen. sometime you have to fully leave the progam betfore changes take effect.

I hope this helps.
