outline control from vb4

I am converting an old subroutine that had an argument of datatype of Outline, which is no longer supported. It appears to have brought back the entire tree structure.
When I try to replace the datatype with TreeView or Nodes it won't compile.
(1) Can anyone tell me what the Outline would have been (an array, a tree structure, or an individual piece of a tree)?
(2) Assuming that it was a tree, I assume I have to add a subroutine to build the new TreeView. Does anyone know?

thanks for the help. As it turns out, the app has both vb5 and vb6 copies of TreeView. I picked the one that was lower in the list of controls on the left, which seems to be the vb5 version. When I rebuilt that piece of the form with the other copy of TreeView, it works just fine (or at least it compiles now).
