Outgoing mail problem Please Please Help 1

Hey everyone

Today I had to implement my old firewall cause the new one was giving me issue that i don't have time to fix the issues so i went back to my old firewall for the time being...anyway... now in my lotus domino 6 server I can no longer send any non local out going emails. everyone can send emails to each other in the office but if you have to send an external email nothing goes through and no error messeges are presented. Is there a port i should be opening? if so which one? anything else I could be doing wrong?

You would need to allow SMTP traffic through which is port 25. Are you receiving from the Internet and can you browse the Internet? If not, maybe your Firewalls IP address is incorrect?.

yeah port 25 was allowing traffic, I figured out the issue though we were having a dns problems for the external network. quick fix and eveything works great now...Thanks for the input.
