Hello all...

I have had complaints from 4 employees thus far complaining that on long calls, 30 minutes or more, the distant party can no longer hear them but they are able to hear the distant party. The call must be dropped and re-established to resume 2 way communication.

These phones are M3903s and M3904s... We have a PRI that has been intrusively tested... I do Stat the DCH and check the LCNT when this happens... it's all happy... Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Scott

Is it only long distance? Only to certain parts of the country? Is there something common about those four employees?...such as on the same line card?

My first guess is the carrier (telco), but if they were on the same card...

Thanks GH... you are about the 4th person who has suggested that I look at out PRI provider. The provider suggested intrusive line testing... which they did over about an 8 hour period and of course, the line was fine. I have not asked them to check other equipment on their end... I will do that now.

I just assumed it was our equipment. That is a problem that I have... look through the most complicated possibilities first, that being our equipment.

The calls have been both incoming and outgoing... have been local and long distance, different locations, and while two of the phones are on the same card the other two are not.

Our patches are current as of March which was supposed to help resolve the problem which began in late January. The drops however seem to be more frequent now.

Thanks for the replies.

Scott
