Hi all,
Request your help on this issue . I have been reported and i have personally noticed that the outgoing calls from ISDN PRI suddenly stops working automatically once in a while. At first i thought it was something related to the permission set but later found out its not. Here i have only 2 permission sets configured which are 1 and 2 .1 is for unrestricted external access and 2 is no external access . This outgoing issue resolves when i restore the back up of previous day from the back up files stored inside the Mitel communication server. This system's release was previously a 4.1 HF1 which i upgraded to 4.1 HF4 . This was thought as a one off issue when we were reported the first time 3 months back. But in a span of 3 days this issue got repeated twice and every time iam just restoring a previous day's back up or a manual back up from the same date. Can anyone please help?

Does a standard system reboot bring the calls back?

Thanks for responding Sarond.

No I did a standard reboot but that didn't help.So had to restore the previous day's back up.

Have you tried physically disconnect cable from PRI, wait 10-15 sec and then connect again? I have one remote system who's loosing sync and this procedure helps...Altough unclear right now where fault is - PRI card or carrier ISDN link...

Yes.I had removed and reconnected the PRI cable .That didn't work too.Since this is a dual T1/E1 card so I had connected to the second PRI port too but that too failed .PRI link is always up in any instance as incoming calls work

If incoming calls always works - problem seems to be really in 470...run a 1818 trace when fault occur (to show failed call attempt) and raise ticket with Mitel (if you can) or attach here - maybe (just maybe) we be able to help...

I know it's a long shot but check your access logs to see if anyone has logged in just before the problem starts.

Hi all,
Thank you for various suggestions to resolve this issue.@zoo1, i tried taking a trace using Ttermpro(equivalent of Hyperterminal) by logging into port 1818 but iam getting these options as attached. Could you please guide me so as i can take the exact trace that is needed?

@sarond,no there is no one logged in when the problem starts.

Select rolling traces -> Predefined rolling traces -> Select 2 (to change status from off to on) -> 6. Start Tracing.
Setup your session to log all outputs...

Hi all,
I found resolution to the original issue that is i need to remove the numbers that are configured by default in digit barring option 1. Also the Basic function was set from All barred to All free. This resolved my issue.

Thank you @sarond and @zoo1 as the things i learnt from you will definitely help me in resolving future problems that needs tracing log files from A-470.

Once again thank you so much
