The progress indicator 0-100% box for Norton Antivirus scanning outgoing email has now vanished. In fact I don't know whether Norton is scanning email at all. I have to check in Sent Items to see if mail is sent. I have ensured that both in and out mail is ticked in program Options and also that the progress indicator display is ticked. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but no difference.

I am using NAV 2002, Outlook Express 6 and Windows XP. Has anyone any ideas as to how I can restore this indicator? I have not experienced problems before. At the back of my mind I do wonder if it is associated with the latest Zone Alarm update which has given quite a few problems to many of its users.
 
Well I shall reply to my own query in case others come across the same problem. It seems that the latest version of Zone Alarm which is 5, disables email scanning in NAV. Zone Labs are looking for a fix which will be notified. In the meantime they have published the following page which shows how to clean uninstall and reinstall the former version.

I have done this and all is now working as it should.
