Hi I compare two table. In my catalog i put my join example:

t1.seq = t2.seq.

And I put a check in Outer Join Box because I would like to see all transaction of t1 even if t2 have not.

I would like to see:

all transaction matching between t1 and t2 AND
all transaction t1 in the same report. BUT Even if put LEFT OUTER JOIN check box, In my report only matching transaction in the two tables appears.....

HELP ME

I've written this type of general ledger report in the past, where the table structure is a parent-child, with the parent containing general information about the transaction, and the child rows containing accounts and amounts relating to multiple charges in the transaction. My approach was to use a hotfile, or now a report as a data source, to get the list of parent row keys used for the first account, and then run a report filtered on these key parent rows to see all child rows associated with the transactions.

1) In CATALOG + USER PROFILES + FILTER TAB For each alias i put a condition account = 420 and account = 421.

3) And if i remove the condition , many duplicate transaction appears because when the mat trans num = 0 its not a transaction can i will see in my report. that's why!

BUT ZERO TRANSACTION MAY BE AN OUTER JOIN...

I am not sure how a filter condition set in the user profiles tab of the catalog would work in the overall scenario of outer joins.

However, you may try setting up this condition in the join screen of the catalog. Click on the radio button "View as Definition" and add your appropriate condition which in effect says (T1.account = 420 and T2.account = 421). Leave unchanged the outer join check box. Ok the catalog change and rerun the report with the new join definitions.
