Hello,

I have an IP500 system at 8.1 with VM Pro. I have tried to set outcalling up to dial long distance numbers, but it fails every time. How do I get the VM Pro to call those numbers when a message is left in a box?

VM pro dials from system shortcodes, can you dial the numbers manually? If so are you using user shortcodes? :)

Yes, amriddle01, I can use my phone to dial the number myself.

However, I was rushed when I posted this so I have left out some information. This IP500 system is in SCN with another IP500. We built a notification tree in VM Pro that allows callers to leave messages in certain boxes. These boxes are connected to users without extensions that only exist to have mailboxes. The systems forwards a copy of the VM message to email and the person responsible for being on call is supposed to receive a call from the system.

The users that I created are on the system that is connected to the VM Pro unit. Does that mean that VM Pro will use the system shortcodes of that system?

I have not configured user short codes for any of those users.
