I have a Merlin messaging 2.5 with a Merlin Legen V7 system. I have enabled outcalling on mailbox 580 to my cell phone, but It doesn't work yet. I need some help.
Keep it simple and step-by-step or you may loose me.
By default, the extensions of the voice mail system are restricted, so as Merlinman said, make sure you unrestrict them. They started to do this around Legend Rel. 6, I believe, and most of us found out the hard way.
Also don't forget to assign the lines to the voice mail extension that will be doing the outcalling, and "don't" forget to remove ringing from those lines on that extension.

On the PBX side, the Voice mail ports must be unrestricted, port 4 on a 4 port system, ports 5&6 on a 6 port system. Those "estensions" must be set to unrestricted in extension programming, and set the ARS restriction to 3 or higher. Enable trunk transfer on those extensions.
On the voice mail side, the mailbox must be set to allow outcalling in system programming, and the individual user must set the mailbox to 1)Turn on outcalling, and 2) Set up the outcalling number. When you test, observe the lights on the Mail system, the outcalling port should come on about 5-10 seconds after leaving the message. Make sure the outcalling number includes a "9" if in the Hybrid PBX mode.
