I am wanting to set up our PBX (G3si) so that outbound calls from stations use trunk group 1 and calls from agents use trunk groups 2 & 3.

I had thought COR would be a way to do this but this has had no effect; when I changed my station's COR to not have access to TGs 2 & 3's COR, my station still used TG 2 or 3.

What is the recommended method of doing this kind of thing? I don't want different digit analysis etc. as the numbers dialled will be the same.

cheers

You need to change the FRL in the cor,and then specify the FRL in the route pattern table.

Any COR with an FRL = to or > than the FRL assigned to the first trunk group in the route pattern will use that trunk group.

If the FRL of the COR is < than the FRL of the the first trunk group in the route pattern it will use the 2nd trunk group if that groups FRL is = to or < the FRL of the stations COR.

Good Luck.

Thanks telm59

I want to avoid changing the FRL of the COR as this will not necessarily stop calls from using the 'wrong' trunk if they are made by the group with the higher FRL and the 'right' trunk is full.

It looks like I have to replicate routing patterns, partition group and use time-of-day.

Just seems more complicated than it need be if COR would work like the Service Observe permissions.
