Outbound transfer with VOIP.MS SIP trunks. 1

Hello

I have a BCM50 R.6 with 6 SIP trunk licences.
I am unable to transfer an incoming call to an outside number?

When I complet the call and release, the conference is active but no voice on either side!
I get the same problem if I forward my DN to an outside number. When the communication is established, no voice or sound.

Is there something that I need to configured in the BCM or with my providor?

I think it use to work a while back!

I would check with SIP carrier sounds like call is established
 
Check with VOIP.MS and make sure that they have Call Transfer enabled for your account. Sometimes it defaults to NO Transfer.

If you are using SIP Trunks to do the external forwarding, transfers, etc. check your Router to make sure the SIP ALG feature is turned "OFF". This will block the speech path. The same goes if you are using the E-Metrotel UCx system.

I checked my router and the SIP ALG was already turned OFF.

I also called VOIP.MS and opened a ticket. They are telling me that the Transfer Option is activated!
They made me do a few tests like changing my routing plan, from premium to value. No Luck!
They also made me reboot the BCM! No Luck!

I don't think they know what to do so they are making me do all kinds....

I made a few more tests on my own and here's what happens.

When I do an outbound transfer(F70) the communication is well established but no voice on either side!
The same goes when I do an outbound call forward (F4).

Now, now, I have established an outbound transfer but using Conference (F3). The communication is established and both parties can talk and hear each other but when I release the call both parties stay connected ( I can see the conference on the BCM Monitor )but no more voice !!

Could this be the BCM50 ? Why do I loose voice when the call is released ?

I am still working with Voip.ms with no luck!
They don't seem to be able to help.

Blackybear can you throw me a bone and give me your setup for Dialing Plan Public prefixes, Routing and Routing Table under SIP and any absorb details for this post please?.

As for your issue I am curious how you transfer, do you use F70 (which ties up 2 trunks) or the carriers Link or * code?
Have you tried turning off Firewall or UpNP and what are the port numbers forwarded to the BCM?

This is something to consider and check.....Have you checked your Remote Packages to make sure the Line Pool for the SIP Trunks (BlocA, etc.) are included in the Package? Then you have to look at the Trunk in the Lines settings to be sure that particular Remote Access Package (Filter) has been applied to the line.

The easiest way to do this is to simply add the Line Pool BlocA (or whatever your Active VoIP Trunks pool is) to the Remote Access Package for the trunks. This will also allow calls to be routed through the BCM to external locations such as your CFAC. The reason it woks when you use Conference is the call has been established as TWO calls by the user, and when you drop out of the call, technically, the Conference call has ended.

This doesn't explain the speech path issue, but this may come into play as for the proper operation....Have a blessed day....

I have not tried turning off Firewall or UpNP but I will.
I imagine these options are turned off in the router?

I have six sip licenses activated in my BCM50.
Voip.ms has given me 25 channels.

My BCM monitor shows me two active SIP trunks when I try to establish an outbound transfer.
The whole procedure works but when I release the call there is voice path !
As far as I remember it used to work a few years ago.
