Hello. I need help trying to figure out why my outbound calls keep getting a reorder. I recently configured my 7.5 CS1K to my SM and calls work fine. This CS1K I'm trying to get working is 7.0. I can call through SM to the CS1K and calls are perfect. So I'm assuming I have a COS or CLS setting that is blocking this, but can't figure out where to look. Below is the trace and other settings that have taken place. Hopefully, someone can help.

Thank you!!!!

BELOW IS EXCHANGE WITH AVAYA SUPPORT THAT HASN'T BEEN ABLE TO HELP:
=====================================================================================
Alan,
Read your email that mentions that the call cannot be processed. Here are a few
things you can try.

1. From the Session Manager, capture the trace and see if the call from CS1000
hits it, to begin with. If you see it in the trace then the issue is from the
Session Manager onwards and nothing to do between CS1000 and Session Manager.

2. If there is no trace of CS1000 in the Session Manager then you can take a
trace from the Signaling Server Gateway of CS1000 using tcpdump -i any -s 0 -w
<out PCAP file> (<out PCAP file> is desired name of the file which will contain
captured packets)command. To stop the trace you need to press CTRL+C. You can
then transfer the file using WinSCP or something and open it in wireshark and
that should give you some clues as where the call is failing. You can also
download Xming and then simply from the Gateway prompt type "wireshark &" and
that should open the wireshark directly however you cannot save the trace.
Whichever suits you, you can go with that option.

3. Also on the CS1000 LD 96 you can monitor the DCH messages by using the
commands,
SET MSGI <DCH#> MON 2
SET MSGO <DCH#> MON 2
When you make the call or receive a call that should trigger some DCH messages
that can also give you some clues.
================================================================================
It's definitely an issue on the CS1K as I can call from my Avaya to
the CS1K, just not from CS1K to Avaya. Here is the information:

1) It never reaches SM as the switch gives a fast busy immediately after dialing
AC1 plus SPN defined.

2) Don't have access to initiate dump in SigServ:
[admin@cs1k7ss1 ~]$ tcpdump -i any -s 0 -w SMTraceALPH
Warning: The Security Administrator restricted this tool.
Contact your Security Administrator for assistance.
Cannot execute tcpdump with parameters -i any -s 0 -w SMTraceALPH
[admin@cs1k7ss1 ~]$ su root
Password:
su: incorrect password

3)I enabled DCH Messages and nothing was outpulsed. Not sure what is happening.
Below is config of RLI and SPN. I am dialing 9+2514(Avaya Extension)

=======================================================================
Hi Alan,
From what you are explaining you are not even seeing any DCH messages when you
make a call. This suggests that you possibly have a dialing plan issue.

I remember noticing that in SM the dial plan to reach CM is 4 digits and I
believe it was something like 40xx.

From your notes below I see that you are dialing 9+2514(Avaya Extension). I
believe the Avaya extension is 4 digits that is on the CM. This means you need
to strip everything except the 4 digits that you need to go through the SIP
trunk to the SM. I am not sure how you are doing this in the CS1000 since there
are many ways to do this. I would suggest you take a look at this part.

Also if you have another working DCH, I suggest you to do a test call on that
DCH and see if the DCH messages are working.

Since your other CS1000 Rls 7.5 switch is talking to the same SM and since the
calls from there are successful, I suggest you compare that CS1000 dialing plan
to the one you are having issues with.
================================================================================
But it's not even making it to SM. If I had a dial plan issue on the SM then I
should as least see the SIP Invite with a NO ROUTE AVAILABLE error, like I was
with the other CS1K before I had it configured properly. I have all the right
Dial Plans and Routing Patterns in SM configured correctly. Something about the
CS1K is preventing the call from even attempting to go out on those trunks. I
don't have any other way to test the other DCH on that switch as I don't know
where it goes. The fact that I'm not getting DCH events shows that the switch
isn't even trying to hit those trunks to make an outbound call. I've stared and
compared my RLI and SPN (NARS/BARS) and don't see anything that is diff from my
US based CS1K. Any other screenshots I can provide or any other ideas that you
have?

Would you mind posting the RDB for your route 10? It may not hurt to also check the Media Security settings in the CS1000 to make sure that one side is not expecting some type of encryption.

Thank you Allenmac for your response! Below is the RDB/DCH and TN as well as ZONES and MedSec info. Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need anything else:

The TGAR on your test phone is 01 and the TARG on your Route is also 01. This is probably why your outbound test call is never hitting the route. You should either remove TARG 01 from the RDB or change the TGAR of the test phone.

Thanks for the reply, but that isn't causing the issue. I have my phones and RDB's using the default TGAR/TARG of 1 and they are working just fine. Also, I think that only applies if you are trying to direct select a trunk and not use ESN NARS/BARS for call routing. The only difference I noticed was that the ESN in LD86 had TGAR of NO on my 7.5 and YES on my 7.0. I changed the ESN to match on both systems and that didn't make a difference. So technically, the TGAR/TARG shouldn't be in play now on ESN calls. Any other ideas or screenshots I can provide?

I think what that is telling you is that the digits that caused the overflow tone is: 92700#

So any idea on how to get the outbound call working? 9 + 2700 should route across SIP trunks to Session Manager. 9 = AC1 and 2700 is configured using SPN 2. Not sure where in the switch it's denying the access to those trunks based on what I've dialed.

On my systems, the error you are getting is only output when something is dialed that cant be routed. Do you have any other SPNs defined in LD 90 that begin with 2?

I found the issue and everything is working. When I made changes, I was trying to run an EDD and was getting a BAD_DATA error every time I tried to save, and didn't think anything of it. So the switch was never saving my data. Apparently, the switch reset and I lost all my temporary configs. I did and EDD_CLEAR rebuilt all the configs and then performed and EDD and all was saved. Then I started getting only one way audio and sometimes no audio at all. I disabled suffling (Direct IP-Media) on the Avaya and calls are crystal clear. Thank you for your time and replies allenmac! Have a good one.
