Hello all I have a question for you guys, I recently had my BCM50 setup for me cause it was really too hard to figuer out myself, I'm a computer tech guy not a phone guy. Well the tech I had come out did not set the dial in number correctly, Instead of people seeing phone number 999-999-9999 on their caller id when I call then see 999-999-9991 I need to change this. Does anybody know how hard this would be to do?

Sorry I'm a newbie here. Can you use lamer terms? PRI and OLI hahaha sorry!

I looked everywhere in the PRI I can't find a place to change the default outgoing number.

The OLI is setup extension by extension. You will need to go into SET programming and change the Public OLI for each extension.

I already did that and another forum was saying I need to enable the ANI any thoughts?

If you already changed the OLI, then you need to contact your PRI carrier and have them allow it. There is no other programming in the BCM needed.

I am with Bluemr2 on this one.I doubt that it is the BCM sending the wrong digits out.Unless a customer asks me to input OLI on a set by set basis I would never touch the OLI programming. I would check with your Carrier to see what they are sending. Can't you get in touch with your guy who did the work & ask him?

One other thing to check is in the PRI programming settings there is a check box for "Send name display". Make sure that box is checked as most carriers allow the PBX to override what they put out if you send something different.

If that's already done then I'm with bluemr2 as well. Check the OLI for each extension.

i dont even see where voodoo said he had a pri? he asked what one was but..so pretty much if u dont have a pri then there is no sense in chging oli for sets cause it wont make a diff u will have to have ur lec control it.

So I got my carrier on the phone and had them turn on ANI and the OLI I programed went though! Thank you guys so much for the advice!!!!!
