This subject has been visted in the past, but I am now in the middle of making it work for my own company. I have tried pool 1,13,15 lines 1,5,24 all without any great deal of sucess. I setup a test mailbox with outbound transfer and set it to use line 24 (b-channel of PRI) and it works every 3rd time that I would hit the 7 for the transfer. The rest of the time I get "Not Available" on my dislay. I assume this is the same thing that is happening to the message notification calls that aren't getting out either. I have this exact problem in 2 offices that have MICS XC 5.0 software and 4.0.04c nam software. I am wondering if there is anything else I can try. Oh on the outbound number I am using a 9 first to get out on the PRI. I have tried it without, and the calls can't get out on the PRI. Is there any documented line pool number that will get a free trunk from a PRI?? I am willing to test ANYTHING, just need some direction.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

The problem unfortunately is with the NAM software. This is a known problem with 4.0.04C. What you are supposed to do is use a bogus line pool (ie., pool 10) then in the dialing string put the destination code prior to the number.

In the C versions, there is a problem with notification over a PRI. You'll need to upgrade to either 4.1 or to 4.0.04E. Either way, you'll need a MicroSolutions, Parellel port back pack CD ROM loader and the new software. Power down the NAM, put in the boot disk that comes with the new software, connect the CD ROM loader to the parellel printer port underneath the NAM. Then put the SW CD into the loader. Power up. It will take about 30 minutes to complete. Power down remove the boot disk and the CD loader and you're done. Power up.

I just wanted to say thanks, and to let everyone know that the upgrade from 4.0.04X to 4.1 is FREE and requires NO keycodes to do the upgrade. I have the needed upgrade disk and would be willing to provide a single ISO copy if there is someone that could/would host the file for others to D/L.

TTYL!
