Outbound Caller ID and Name on PRI

I have a customer to show a name on outbound caller ID rather than just a number on PRI.
Carrier told customer we can over ride thier default.
It seems that I can remember, back in my 2k days, that I was able to send out the programmed name on a phone but that's been at least 15 years since I even thought about it.
Does any know if it is possible? If yes, with what protocol?

I have no issues when using NI-1. (DMS-100)

There are 2 methods.

1)- Send the Phonebook Name
2)- Send the name programmed in the Dept Field.

My preference in the Dept Field name as this allows you to send the company name (up to 10 Chars) while retaining the Phonebook name for internal/private use.

To use the Dept field you need to enable a COS option, the name escapes me, starts with "C" I think

KWB, the COS option is "Calling party name substitution"

Don't forget to check with your carrier to make sure they are setup to accept names.
