Hello,

New to the Nortel switch and fighting my way thru any issues, need some help with CS1000 server on figuring out how outbound and inbound calls are routed to PRI's for office. I have two voice circuits loop 50 which carries all DID inbound calls and loop 51 which looks like is only used for outbound calls. Need to find routing table that determines which loop is used and if one loop is down will all calls route to remaining loop for outbound and inbound calls.

Looking for command/s that I need to use to verify the call routing for this CS1000 unit.

Thanks for the help.

HI SLIDERPLOT.... i don't have high level of speciality but i want to share some here..
____________________________
you have to work in like this
STEP 1 : TAKE A STAT OF ALL CHANNELS OF LOOP :
LD 60
.STAT 50
it will display all channels of that PRI.
then
.stat 51
Note : here you can check the type of trunks/channels ...Like DID (for inbound) or COT/TIE(outbound)
________________________________
step 2: here you will take a print of channel/TN of loop 50 or 51.
LD 20
REQ PRT
TYPE TN
CUST 0
TN 50 1 **********(THIS IS THE FIRST CHANNEL OF lOOP 50)
here you have to watch for
*option TYPE DID or COT or Tie etc
*option RTMB x y (x route and y is member of that)
____________________________
step 3:
LD 21
REQ LTM
CUST 0
ROUT X (give the route number you found above)
*here you will find a list of all trunk members of that route.

you can also take a print of that route in here..
LD 21
REQ PRT
TYPE RDB
CUST 0
ROUT X
_______________________________

YOU MUST HAVE OUTBOUND AND INBOUND CHANNELS IN BOTH THE LOOPS ,,,SO THAT IF ONE LOOP BECOMES DOWN THE CALLS WILL FOLLOW OTHER LOOP.

All of the call routing you are referring to is done in LD 86 in the RLI's. There can be multiple entries in each RLI. It will be very overwhelming if you have not done this before.

Thanks for the greet information above, I have completed task but have one final question about routing.

I can see from the results below that route '0' RTMB routes calls to loop 50 member 1 and route 51 RTMB routes to loop 51 member 24 which is fine. But I would like to disable loop 51 and send all calls out loop 50 will calls that are sent using RTMB 0 24 then find loop 50 and be routed out on PRI?

Big thanks again.

Once again, the routing is done in ld 86 in the RLI. However you can disable loop 51 and the associated d-channel and it will be fine. The only thing you are showing in your print outs is the route and associated trunks. Not the actual routing for AC1 for a particular NPA, NXX or SPN.
